My son in law made the purchase for me and all seemed to go well until I received my wheel. I believe I received a defective charger and am trying to get a replacement with no response yet from Kingsong. I understand things happen and if the issue is resolved in a timely manner no harm no foul. other than that the wheel is awesome.
The tube came in defective, resulting in an injuries to my self and wheel. The tire/tube ripped off the rim as i was riding subsequently bucking me off.
I was given an inmotion branded tire that did not hold up to riding in KingSong conditions subsequently busted injuring me
I'm 260 lbs, and I was worried I was over the 265 lb limit. It still performs well on flat ground, but I notice a significant hit to the battery range and hill-climbing power. Heavier riders should seriously consider a more powerful model.
The ambient LED lights are cool, but the actual headlight is fantastic for night riding. It's incredibly bright and illuminates the path ahead perfectly. I feel much safer riding at night than on my old e-scooter.
Riding is a dream, but be warned: this thing is HEAVY. If you have to carry it up more than a flight of stairs, or if your train station doesn't have an escalator/elevator, you will regret it. The trolley handle helps, but it's still a burden.
I can't go anywhere without someone stopping me to ask about this thing. The design is sleek and modern. Beyond the looks, the ride is incredibly smooth and quiet. It feels like gliding on air.
The hardware is powerful, but the software feels half-baked. The app occasionally disconnects, and one firmware update temporarily messed up my pedal sensitivity. They fixed it, but it was a worrying week. Hope they stabilize the software soon.
There's something incredibly freeing about zipping around on this thing. It feels like you're flying just above the ground. It's my go-to for de-stressing after a long day; just go out and ride with the wind.
I didn't buy it for the speaker, but it's become a favorite feature. Riding while listening to music is an awesome experience. The sound is surprisingly loud and clear for a device this size.
I find riding to be incredibly meditative. You can't think about work or stress; you have to be 100% present in the moment, focused on balance and the path ahead. It's my moving mindfulness practice.
This is the ideal way to get around a large university. I zip from my dorm to classes across campus in minutes. It's much faster than walking and easier to manage than a bike (no locking needed, I just carry it in).
I went with the standard range model to save money, but now I have range envy. I can only get about 20 miles, which limits my exploration. If you're even slightly unsure, just get the bigger battery. You won't regret it.
I work as a production assistant on film sets, which are often huge. This lets me carry messages or small gear from one end to the other in seconds. It's efficient, quiet for shooting, and everyone wants to borrow it.
I've had more conversations with strangers in the last month than in the past year. People are genuinely curious and amazed. It's a fantastic social icebreaker and a great way to meet new, like-minded people.
Bought this for fun and it delivers! The acceleration is thrilling. A word of warning: BUY PROTECTIVE GEAR. I thought I could skip it and learned the hard way. Now that I'm proficient, it's my favorite thing to do on weekends.
I got caught in a light drizzle and the wheel slid out from under me on a painted crosswalk. It's not very water-resistant and the grip on wet surfaces is scary. Definitely a fAir-weather vehicle. Would not recommend riding in any rain.
Don't give up! The first two days were brutal and I felt hopeless. By day three, something clicked. Mastering the balance and control is one of the most satisfying feelings I've had. It's like learning to ride a bike all over again.
